A couple weeks ago, CL&D staff attended a retreat A couple weeks ago, CL&D staff attended a retreat to recharge before the start of the new academic year and the reopening of the Centre!

The retreat included peaceful time by Lake Simcoe, group activities and delicious food.

This is a reminder to take some time for yourself when possible and take care of yourself to be able to take care of others!

In just a couple days, models will take to the stage to showcase one of a kind handmade pieces from Regent Park community members. Join us this Thursday, August 31st at 5:00pm for the fabulous celebration!

Did you know our 2023 Summer Youth Camp reached ar Did you know our 2023 Summer Youth Camp reached around 200 people this year?

This was all possible from our partnership with the Promise1000 Youth Fund. For the first time, the camp provided  13 microgrants and guidance for each youth participants to design and lead their own community project!  Youth engaged with their communities by hosting events such as community clean ups, paint days, sports tournaments, a family day and a STEM workshop!

We are grateful for another successful summer camp and the support of  Promise1000!

Last week participants of our Public Speaking & Pr Last week participants of our Public Speaking & Presentation Course in partnership with @gbcollege completed their final presentations. It is great to see how much participants' confidence and presentation skills have grown over the past 7 weeks!

For the last class this Thursday, we will all be heading over to the GBC campus to celebrate the completion of the course and see what resources the college can offer to support participants' continued growth. Congratulations to everyone!
