In 2013, CL&D incorporated a poverty reduction strategy as an integral element of the program delivery model. Through our own Social Enterprise Incubation program, we provide opportunities for individuals to:

  • Develop the knowledge and skills needed to launch their own businesses
  • Find employment in a related industry
  • Work together as part of a collective social enterprise

These experiences are particularly valuable for new immigrants, adults, and students as a successful experiential learning program provides value for the Collectives and residents of Regent Park.  Along with opportunities to solve problems and work in interdisciplinary teams, experiential learning can also play a valuable role in helping individuals make decisions about future careers and employment pathways.

Come by and see what these enterprises have to offer at the monthly Pop-Up Markets. Check social media for upcoming dates and times!
