Strong communities need strong residents. You can help individuals in communities across Toronto gain a sense of belonging and become fully engaged in their neighbourhoods and society as a whole. Your gift provides the knowledge and skills that they need to achieve their goals and to lead positive change in their communities.

Even a small gift goes a long way.

  • A single workbook for an adult upgrading student costs about $25.
  • For $50 you can provide a tutor instruction manual or childcare and refreshments for workshop participants.
  • About $100 provides an adult with a personal youth tutor for 12 weeks or transportation support for a student for one month.
  • $240 you can provide assistance for a student for an entire year.
  • An advanced training module delivered to 10-15 immigrant women costs about $1,000.

Four easy ways you can help nurture new possibilities

  • Student Assistance Fund: Your monthly gift of $20 provides bursary funds that help a student who otherwise could not afford to participate in our programs. Your gift helps students overcome this barrier by defraying the cost of educational materials, bus fare and childcare expenses.
  • Community Partnership Fund: Your gift provides vital ongoing support for the work of the Centre for Community Learning & Development.
  • Program Development Fund: You can invest in the development of new educational and community programs, including support for key staff positions, that help make new possibilities a reality.
  • Where most needed: Many newcomer residents face a host of economic and social challenges, and it can be difficult to know where your gift can have the greatest impact. That’s why a general donation to The Centre for Community Learning & Development is a great choice. Your gift will enable us to help individuals make a strong, new start in the community.
