Immigrant Women Integration Program (IWIP)
The Immigrant Women Integration Program (IWIP) is an intensive leadership development opportunity for immigrant woman who want to pursue any of the following goal paths: post-secondary education, increased employability, or independence.
Skills enhanced within the program include self-confidence, advocacy, civic engagement, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills. Learning is a blend of virtual in-class and independent learning.
The program creates a welcoming environment and promotes mental wellness within communities.
Cost: Free
Location: Virtual and In-class (In-class for Standard First Aid & CPR course only)
Length: 3 months, 22 hours per package, March to May 2022

Eligibility:
- Immigrant woman living in Canada for at least 1 year.
- Minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark 6 in all areas
- Interest in being a community leader
- Intermediate computer skills
- Interest in supporting community change
Certificates:
- Mental Health First Aid
- De-Escalating Potentially Violent Situations
- First Aid & CPR
